In 2010, alumna Bridget Evans founded the first registered student organization to foster and train mobility service dogs on a college campus.

The group operates entirely on donations and their dogs are placed with individuals free of charge. Students engage with and learn about the disability community while changing lives, four paws at a time.

Unique Illinois: Illini Service Dogs went on to win a Mid-America Emmy in 2025.

My time at Big Ten Network (BTN) also coincided with the production of the Unique Illinois episode featuring Illini Service Dogs. I collaborated with the BTN videography team to capture b-roll, assist with interviews, and support camera, audio, and lighting setup and operation during both on-campus events and off-site shoots in Chicago, IL.
